Dear all,

This is the latest announcement regarding TMNet CBJ1 Data Center's Planned Power Outage Event which was postponed on 14th April.

The new maintenance details are as below:

Maintenance Date: 13th Jul 07 (SAT) - 15th Jul 07 (SUN)
Maintenance Time: 5:00PM (13th Jul) - 10:00AM (15th Jul), GMT +0800

Maintenance Description:
=======================================

TMNet has scheduled repair and audit activities in the CBJ1 Data Center (formerly known as MyLoca) that involved the whole Data Center. It is part of an ongoing effort to ensure the integrity and reliability of the electrical power system of the Data Center at all times. The agenda of the planned outage are as below:

1. Power Upgrade (4x PDU + 4xSTS - to cater for capacity requirement)
2. Repair / audit /retest (to resolve major outage on 16/9 and 3/10 last year)
3. Batteries replacement
4. Migration (re-cabling problematic power connection to new PDU/STS)
5. Installation of Monitoring Tools/probe and software
6. Megatest - assessment and audit 640 cables to the rack to check for fitness (detect harmonic /voltage drop or leakage)

Maintenance Impact:
=======================================
1. The maintenance will begin at 5:00PM Malaysian Time on Friday, 13th July 2007.

2. On 13th July, between 5:00PM - 10:00PM, we will switch to temporary backup power provided by TMNet CBJ1 Data Center. The back up power has no guarantee for redundancy (as in normal power supply). The backup power served as alternative solution to avoid 24-hour or longer service downtime. Therefore the backup supply may not be applied to any SLA or Uptime Guarantee. Exabytes will however put our best effort to ensure the stability and reliability of the power supply. As we need to shutdown the server before we switch to the backup power, a down time of 5-10 minutes is expected.

3. The repair and audit activities will begin at 12:00AM, 14th July. The work is expected to conclude within 24 hours, at approximately 12:00AM Malaysian Time, Sunday, 15th July 2007.

4. We need to shut down the server for another 5-10 minutes on 15th July (Sunday) after the repair and audit activity is successfully completed for switching back to normal power supply.

Supposely but I am not sure, maybe you could contact your ISP to confirm if you are involved in this outage :)
